AM/PM--Buddy Reading/ Spelling Test week 13/ Guided Reading
Writing: Today I handed out the rubrics and explained the expectations of the persuasive ads. This is kind of like an invention convention where the kids have to create an imaginative products and then they have to try to convince others to buy it. They got into groups of 3-4 students and then they started to brainstorm ideas. They will need to work together on this. It will require a 5 paragraph persuasive essay on why I need to buy their product, a poster ad and a 2-5 min commercial (video or live in class). This project will be due on December 15 and 16.
Math: Today we took a quiz to assess our understanding of the material taught so far in our 4th Unit. This included +/- decimals, percents and fractions. Then, we talked about how to multiply fractions with whole numbers. There is homework on this tonight.
Timed Math and Read Aloud. Today we learned Atychiphobia is the fear of failure.
Science: with Mrs. Despain.
