AM/PM-- Spelling pretest, Centers, Guided Reading (we are focusing this month on Metacognitive Awareness).
Writing: We got in our groups to discuss our strategies with our inventions. We wrote our persuasive strategies down in our graphic organizers and then did some planning on our ads.
Also, we are writing persuasive letters to our parents asking for a ludicrous Christmas present. Parents are NOT supposed to buy these things but are supposed to try and persuade our kids that we do not need that item.
Math: Today we learned how to multiply two fractions together. There is homework on this.
Read Aloud/Self Start books/Timed math
Class meeting: Today we talked about rumors. We talked about how it is hurtful and we shouldn't do it. I have had a few students who have come to me with rumors that have been told about hear other and about me.
HW:
Read 20 mins.
Math: yellow worksheet on multiplication of fractions
Writing: Persuasive letter writing to parent (look at writing section above)
spelling packets (due on Friday)
