I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 16

Today:

Small group: Centers and guided reading with Mrs. Varner

Math: Math test on Unit 1. Almost everyone doubled their score from their pre test.

Library: Some students started the Battle of the Books. Have you students tell you about it.

Writing: We are moving to our editing stage or our personal narrative. I taught them the symbols and then had them practice them. There is homework on this.

Lunch
Read Aloud

Science: I had a lab schedule where we got to use a bag of iron shavings to visually see the magnetic field of various magnets. Unfortunately, 15 minutes into our lesson, I had to stop the lesson because many students were playing with the magnets instead of doing the experiment or they didn't listen to instruction. I told the students that they have to listen to instructions and follow the rules or they will not have any more lab experiments. I am sorry to those students who were doing well, they missed out for not reason but I had no choice. I hope they learned from this mistake and that we can have a better science lab next time we do science.

HW:
Read Aloud for 20 minutes (record your stars)
Green Editing sheet
Fill your brown bag with 10 things that represent you so that we can have our social studies activity tomorrow.
