I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 7

Today:

We had our hearing tests today. This is a test given to all 1st,3rd and 5th graders. If your child didn't pass the test, you will be notified.

Math: We reviewed a bit on decimal place value and then did ordering of decimals from least to greatest. This was a bit of a harder concept but I think they got it. There is homework on this.

Writing: We are wrapping up our pre-write stage. We did a timely order graphic organizer to help the students to think of the order of events that happened in their personal narratives.

Spelling packets: I let them work on this for about 10 mins.

Read Ch. 5/Cursive

Social Studies: We practiced locating objects with latitude and longitude.

We did a team building activity. The table that got the highest building won a free night of homework.

HW:
Read for 20 mins. Student should finish their books tonight. They have a book report quiz on it tomorrow.

Math: Worksheet on decimals (math 1-3)

NOTE: Today, I had to step out of the room and have the class discuss ways they could stay on task. There has still been a lot of excess talking and rudeness. So finally, I had THEM come up with a plan on how we will solve this problem. They agreed to try harder not to talk and I will move desks tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day, I just know it.
