Today:
AM/PM working on our books (focusing on finding the main idea).
Practiced our spelling words.
Practiced our 5th grade dance:
Boys: Haka
Girls: Hukilau
Math: Reviewed the order of decimals. Adding and subtracting decimals.
We also went over our CRT practice test that we took before Spring Break. This was not graded on their recorded grades but I did grade them for their own knowledge. This gave them a good idea on how well they would have done.
Science: Review with Mrs. Beach's class.
Writing/Social Studies:
Took a virtual tour of the Ford's theatre in Washington D.C. and then did a mock journalist interview of Clara Harris (me) and other people that were present at the assassination of President Lincoln. This was when students gathered their information for their newspaper article.
Read from "Chains", practiced our cursive, and practiced our Hope of America songs.
HW:
Math: page 4-5 in review book.
Write up a rough draft of our newspaper article.
Practice your Hope of America songs.
