I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

AM/PM Literacy Groups. Working on finding the important ideas of the story. Books should be done by Monday.

Math: We took a quiz on Chapter 1 information (decimals/place value)
We reviewed properties of multiplication (zero and distributive property) and did some multiplicaton facts.

Art: Made yarn eggs ( this was an messy activity but tons of fun).

Writing:
We are working on our newspaper articles on the assassination of Ab. Lincoln. They got to interview John Wilkes Booth (me). They are supposed to finish their sloppy copy by tomorrow for peer editing.

Practiced our Hope of America songs. The lady in charge of the program told us that our students will be on the video tape recording the most (b/c they are on the floor). She said that Oprah was interested in this program and might attend. (I don't know how much of that is true but we will see). Regardless, it got the kids motivated to memorize the words better. Please help them practice this at home. I will put the words online.

HW:
Math: page 6 - 9 in the review book. (please remember to look at these occasionally to see if they are understanding the information)
Writing: Finish your sloppy copy of your newspaper article.
Practice Hope of America songs.
