Today we:

Elected class officers:
President: Madison
Vice President: McKay
Secretary: Camryn

Math: We talked about Hang-man division. This is a easier and faster way to do division. I had them practice it for homework. They should have brought home a paper that helps to explain how to do it. If you do not know how to do it and want to help you child you can look my Rocky Mountain Webpage. It is listed under "spelling bee." (I had that page scanned with the spelling bee page and and for some reason it would separate from each other).


Writing: We watch some commercials to have the students identify persuasive strategies that they can use in their ads they will be making.


Social Studies: We started a new unit on the Constitution. We discussed the distinct difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and learned about what the Articles of Confederation was.


I also handed the students the spelling bee words. The spelling bee will be on Friday November 19. (As mentioned, it can be printed off on the webpage).

Last thing: I will be giving the students some time to do make up work in class this week but I am limited on how much time I can give them. Please make sure you look on skyward to see if you child has any missing work. These are due by the 15th.

1. Read!!!
2. Math: page 225 #5 - 20. Students HAVE to use the hangman method to solve these problems.
