Today we:
Talked about what is a memoir. We talked about how it is written in 1st person and tells the story from the main characters point of view.
Handed out week 10 spelling packet. The bonus words are strategy and advertise.
Math: We talked about 2 different ways that we solve multiplication problems. They were called "the box" method and "the tower." Ask them to explain it to you, to see if they remember how to do it.
At lead meeting, the kids got to see a TV get pushed off the roof. It was to celebrate family week. This week our school is focusing on turning off the tv and spending time with our family.
So, for homework, they are supposed to read but spend sometime with their family. We also sent home some fun family discussion ideas. If the kids do these and have you sign it, then by friday, they can turn in these slips for a drawing at the classic skating night. Hope to see you there.
