I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 106

AM/PM--Today we talked about voice. An author will choose to make their voice sound a certain way to help tell the story. We looked at our books and looked for clues that help us to know whether a story is in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person. We learned that 3rd person is the most common because that a way the author can tell what everyone in the story is thinking.
We are also trying to finish up our stories this week.

Writing: Today we shared our persuasive essays with each other and then edited them. We talked about what we could do to make it better.

Math: Today we reviewed graphing for our test tomorrow. We will also start pre-algebra tomorrow.

P.E. and treats from Hayden. Happy Birthday!!!

Read aloud from Redwall.

Science: We learned the word Adaptation today. We talked about how all living things will try to change or doing something to make their lives easier. This is called adaptation. We looked at different pictures of different animals and discussed in groups what these animals do to survive in their environment.

HW:

Math: Blue worksheet on graphing

FYI: Today in our family meeting, I went over my disclosure. It says that I will not except homework after the second day of school
