AM/PM Centers and GR
Math: We went over the different division strategies. I know that there are some students that struggles with this and that is okay. I knew that would happen. It happens every year. The reason why is because many students are used to just following the steps to solve division but they do not know why it works or not. In other words, they are not sure of the meaning/number sense. By learning how to solve division in other ways, they are forced to understand why it works.
Computers: Practicing typing.
Region tests/cursive/read aloud
Social Studies: Presentation on Native American projects.
Played sparkle to practice spelling.
Enrichment: Played soccer with Mr. Crandall.
HW:
Read 20 mins (Record sheet is due on Monday)
*Math: Green math division sheet
*Spelling Test/Packet
Region practice (states and capitals)
*Book Reports (make sure to fill out your rubric!!!)
