Today:
Small group time: We got to go to Mrs. Taylor's class to do buddy reading with the 1st graders there. This is a great time for both grades to learn about reading and the process it takes to learn how to do it well.
We also had our spelling test and turned in our spelling packet.
Math: We couldn't take the pretest because the utips system was down but we learned a lesson about how doubling or halving factors will double or half the product as well. There is homework on this.
Writing: Practiced our editing symbols and then started the editing our personal narratives.
Grammar: We played preposition bingo to get used to using and hearing our prepositions.
Social Studies: We shared our Native American names and then got into groups to pick our tribes according to the US regions.
We also had a quiz on the regions of US states and captials.
HW:
Read 20 minutes tonight and tomorrow out loud.
