I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

February 8, 2011

Ok. Really. This is the first time that I have had free since the bell rang at 3:30. I am sorry that it is late but don't worry. If you missed school today, I won't count it against you if you do not get your homework in tomorrow. However, if you happen to be up at this late hour, here you go:

Small group: Still talking about the different types of questions that I mentioned yesterday.

We got to hear from the Oak Canyon Band today in a concert. The kids really liked to see the Japanese drums.

Math: We reviewed properties of multiplication. The homework is online if you need it. It is called "practicing multiplication properties" This was a good review for the kids. I was trying to show them how they could do math a lot faster if they used these properties.

Regions practice test (many already pasted this weeks region--south west)

Science: With Mrs. Beach--the unit ends next Wednesday so plan on a test that day.

While we are waiting our turn in the computer lab to type up our persuasive essays, I went ahead and started our next unit: Poetry.

We started off by talking about and making Haiku's. There were a lot of really good ones.

HW:
Math: properties review w/s
Writing: practice typing on the computer
spelling
regions
