Today:

Small group: I met with the last of the students. I went over grades and DRA scores. We made goals to improve reading for the next term.

Editing: Pizza Thursday

Debate #3: School uniforms. The students did great! They are definately getting better at finding reason and support for their points. I am excited for them to get started on their persuasive essays next week.

Library: Don't forget that the scholastic book fair is going on all next week. Our class is schedule to go to the book fair to buy stuff on Tuesday. If you want to allow your child to buy something you can either send money on Tuesday or you can buy it together during Parent teacher conferences next Wednesday or Thursday night.

Math: We compared decimals and fractions on a number line. Then, we did a bit of a review for the test tomorrow.

Science: with Mr. Alder. the test will be next Wednesday.

R & E: all the 5th grade class break up into groups according to how they did on the last assessment. This was to help students get an individualized lesson on the information that they missed on the assessment.

We also had a practice test on the Northeast states and capitals. The real test will be tomorrow. I will put up practice sheets online if you want to practice with them at home.


HW:
Math: Test review on page 446 -447 #1 - 23. ( I put these pages online if you want to print them up, or forgot your book).
Study Northeastern region capitals and states.
Study spelling test.
