Small group: We are still working on comprehension. Tomorrow they need to have each of the eight comprehension strategies used at least once and recorded in their reader's workshop books.
Thanks to those of you who came to the Christmas sing. The kids did great!
Math: We correct homework 11-10 and did some review for the test tomorrow. They had the option to get it signed by a parent for extra credit.
Science: We had a quick lessons that added to our previous lesson on specialized structures. They got to learn about mimicry and camouflage. Then, we decorated a moth so that it blended into our classroom environment. We had some kindergarten kids come in and try and find them in exchange for a treat. We had 5 moths that didn't get found.
We also had our test. Most everyone seemed to have done really well.
HW:
Math: option to do page 684 1-33 and get it signed by a parent for extra credit.
Study for spelling #14 for the test tomorrow.
