I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Monday, October 24

Today was a busy day!

We had a great class meeting. We discussed some of the things that we are scared of. Apparently some of our boys aren't scared of anything.

Writing: We worked on our Halloween stories. The rough drafts are due tomorrow.

Grammar: Write your simile, metaphor, and adjectives for your story. (found on the class page if you need another one).

Spelling: We handed out the new spelling words for Week 8. The bonus words are skeleton and pumpkin.

Math: We talked about the order of operations when doing long mathematical problems. I taught them the pneumonic (Please Make Delicious Anchovy Sandwiches)---Parenthesis, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.

Homework:

1. Read!!
2. Finish rough draft for Halloween story for the 1st edit for tomorrow.
3. Grammar worksheet
4. Math page 173 #1-23

BTW, please remember to look at your child's skyward account to see if they are missing any work OR if there is anything that they will like to redo for a better grade. They need to be turned into me by November 10th. Thanks.
