I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 156

AM/PM--DRAs, Centers, Guided Reading Math: Review. We took a quiz that covered the basics of unit 1 and 2. Then we reviewed the answers. I told them that regardless what each student got, if they took it home and had mom or dad sign it (after looking over it) they would get an automatic 100%. It has to be turned in by tomorrow. Family Meeting: Today we watch a movie clip called "Finish Strong". We then discussed the value of working hard up to the very end of school. We discussed how this characteristic could be useful in all aspects of our life. Read Aloud: New book, "Chasing Lincoln's Killer" This book is an overview of how Lincoln was assassinated. Social Studies: We started learning about the major battles of the Civil War. We learned about the first battle of the Civil War today: The battle at Fort Sumter. HW: Read you GR book (due on May 18) Have a parent look over and sign the math quiz we took today.
