I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 82

AM/PM Centers and Guided Reading

Writing: I am having the students enter a writing contest. It is a contest where the students have to write 150 word essay on why their mom is the best. We did a free write and we will edit it tomorrow.

Math: Today we reviewed what a polygon is. We went through the different Quadrilaterals and then defined them. We know that a square is a trapezoid but a trapezoid is not a square. Also, a parallelogram is a trapezoid but is not a rectangle, etc.

Social Studies: Today we made props for our play. We made muskets, swords, tri-corner hats, etc. For our play, students need to wear colonial style clothes. We need tube socks and vests. If you have extra that we can borrow, please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

HW:
READ!! We have had some students who have not been reading their books and are very behind in the schedule. Please make sure that your child is reading their guided reading book and comprehending it. Ask them to tell you what the book is about to check if they are understanding.

Math: Finish the back of the yellow paper that they did last night.
Work on your science project.
BTW, there are some extra science poster boards if anyone wants to buy extras. They are $4.00.
