I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

Day 75

AM/PM--Buddy Reading/DRA prep
Writing: Today we did a silent debate. This is where we had 20 different topics written on a paper and students had to prove the comments wrong. This was passed around the room every 3 mins. The point of this is to teach the students that during a rubuttal you need to refute their reasons or proofs and not the person or the topic itself. For example, if the topic was "McDonald's is better than Burger King" then someone could agree by saying, "This is correct because McDonald's has a dollar menu and Burger King does not therefore McDonald's is better." The next person could write a rebuttal to this comment by writing, "Yes, McDonald's does have a dollar menu but the quality of the hamburgers at Burger King is much better." The next person would rufute that comment by writing "Burger King has a great whopper but that is it. McDonald's has the Big Mac, the voted best fries in the country, as well as a variety of healthy choices like salads and yogurts, not to mention their great kids playhouses." Etc.

Math: Today we reviewed everything that we learned this week about geometric terms and then took a quiz.

Science: Took a test on Volcanoes with Mrs. Despain and we talked about how to conduct your science fair projects.

Fun Friday
