Sorry I didn't write on the last day before the Winter Break but I am sure that everyone heard about the Christmas Party we had. It was a lot of fun.
As for today:
AM/PM--Spelling pretest 16 Bonus words are Geometry and Parallel, DRA prep, and January books.
Daily Oral Language (DOL), Journals
Writing: Today we started our new unit: debating. This is a persuasive writing technique. As opposed to advertising, where we tried convince others to buy a product, debating will help students to convince others to their ideas and views on a certain topic. We will be doing this for a few weeks.
Math: Today we went over geometric terms.

We started a new book today "Redwall" by Brian Jacques.
Social Studies: Today we talked about the Intolerable Acts and the goals of the 1st and 2nd continental congress.
