I wasn't in school today, our substitute did the following:
AM/PM Buddy Reading, Spelling Test, and worked on Book Reports (due on Tuesday)
Math: Worked on mixed and improper fractions.
Art: Pumpkin art with crepe paper
Writing: Peer Editing and working on Final draft of the story.
Social Studies: Watched "Charlie Brown on Plymouth Rock"
Science: Watched Bill Nye "Static Electricity"
Fun Friday: We are now starting Fun Friday with all 5th graders. If students do not finish homework or are disrepectful to me or to other classmates they will not be able to go. This is not part of the curriculum but is a reward for good behavior. Students will be able to play games, do art, sports activities, etc during this time. If they do not make it, they will be in a study hall where they will have to sit and read or do homework.
HW:
Read-- work on your book report--due on Tuesday.
(remember to record your minutes, the Oct calendar will be due on Tues, November 1st)
*Math: pink worksheet on Mixed numbers
Writing: Finish Final draft for mystery story (this is due on Tuesday--typed or in your best cursive. Rubric in online).
