Today:
AM/PM-Buddy Reading, Spelling test, Guided Reading
Math: Review of multiplication properties. We were trying to use the properties to see if we could do mental math. We also had a game with the math ball where we tried to solve multi-digit multiplication problems mentally.
Grammar: Adjectives--tell us "What kind" and " how many". They describe the noun.
Writing: typing up our personal narratives. This took awhile but we all learned a lot. I can tell that the student really need to learn their typing skills. Please have them practice by playing dance mat at home, if possible.
We also had a 15 minute karaoke party today. This was because the class earned 50 class points. They all really enjoyed that. Some more than others but I guess karaoke is an acquired taste;-)
Enrichment: We had the RADD kids lesson. This is where we got to practice more stranger danger and self-defense techniques.
HW:
Read for 20 minutes and record your stars.
Math: Blue paper on properties practice
Grammar: Yellow paper on adjectives.
Social Studies: Work on your Native American project
Get your Clear Creek permission slips and $20.00.
P.S. I still need two dad's for the Clear Creek trip. Please email me at tvarner@alpinedistrict.org. I will take the first 2 fathers.
P.S.S. Monday is a minimal day. Everyone comes at the same time.

Thanks for the information. From my experience at Hidden Hollow for several years, it is my understanding that minimal days begin at the regular time for each track. I'm not sure if that is what you meant by the "same" time, but some may be confused.
