Welcome back! I am so excited to start the new year. Today was a great day. We learn about Initiative and how we can take part in the success of our school year by making sure we do our part.
Here are some things that we did today:
We all introduced ourselves and got to ask Mrs. Varner some questions about her.
We talked about the things that we will be doing in 5th grade this year by going over a simple syllabus.
We took our pictures and height then made a time capsule. We will open it up again on the last day of school (It will be here before you know it).
We also took a writing assessment. This was to help me to see how our writing level is.
We played an "I spy game" where we got to know our classroom a bit better.
We had computer class where the kids got to learn how to change the font of the words.
We made a mosaic picture that says "United we Stand". This was to help us to understand that our class is a unit and we all take part in the success. We talked about our differences and how we can all come together to create something beautiful.
AND THIS WAS JUST THE FIRST DAY!!!
We are going to have so much fun this year.
Tonight's homework: Make sure to read for 20 minutes and then make sure to get your supplies and parent signature forms in by tomorrow.
