AM/PM --We are doing reader's theatre. This is when the kids have a script to a play that they read. This doesn't have to be memorized but it they do have to perform it for the class. This helps them with confidence but also with reading with good fluency.
Move Up Day: The kids got to go to 6th grade for the morning. They met with Mrs. Willis and talked about Egyptian hyrogliphics. Mr. Ridge taught them a science lesson on heat. Mr. Alder taught them how to find the circumference of a circle.
We also had dance practice. Remember the performance is on Thursday morning. Our class will be performing at about 10:00 but the whole festival will be outside (in the back of the school) and will start around 9:30.
We talked about Shakespeare's play "Taming of the Shrew" then, we went and watched Mrs. Willis' class perform it in the gym. They did an awesome job!
HW:
Please remember to bring the PUSH program information slips by tomorrow.
FYI: I will turns grades in on Friday. If there is anything that you want to turn in please turn them in by Friday. Just so you know, if it can't be printed up off of the Rocky Mt. class website then I will not accept it. I just can't print anything off. Sorry, just too many things to do these days. However, If it can be printed off you can turn those in. I will NOT except redo's but I will accept work that was not turned in up until Thursday.
