I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

AM/PM DRA, Centers that reviewed parts of the story writing, metaphors/similies, and analogies

Math: We reviewed fraction operations a bit more. This was a good Q and A session. I asked the students to try and find as many specific questions as possible. This helped so I asked them to do it again for tomorrow's review session.

Dance Practice: We had our dance practice, I will put the video of my cousins doing the dance on line tonight so if you want to practice at home you can.

social Studies: We are talking about American Immigration. We discussed the "American Fever" of the 1820s when American had the most immigration with over 2 million people within just a few years. We also discussed a bit about Ellis Island.

Language Arts: We reviewed alliterations and finding the main idea of a story. we took a practice test and then I explained about the Language Arts test that they will be making this week.

NOTE: I told the kids that they will have to buy their own poster boards for the State Fair but I just found out that the school order some for the kids to buy here at the school. Apparently they are cheaper if we buy them in bulk. We got them for $3.50 per board. they are something like $8.00 at Staples.

HW:
Math: review book up to page 58
Work on State Report book (due on Friday)
