What we did today:
AM/PM times:
Today we read with our 1st grade reading buddies and then spent the rest of the time typing up our 1865 Newspaper articles.
Class meeting: We had a few students express concerns about others saying they aren't in their "group." or that so and so is in the cool group and so and so is in the weird group.
I talked about how our class is a family and that everyone should feel loved and accepted. I asked the students to try to show kindness by including everyone in our class.
Math: We reviewed decimal operations and started to review graphing.
After lunch, I read from "Chains" while they practiced their cursive.
Writing: Students created an outline of how they will want their 1865 newspapers to look like. They picked a few pictures that I have already printed out. I hope that they will be able to finish these "Lincoln Assassination" Newspapers by Friday.
