Small groups time: We talked about how to summarized correctly. I talked about how the DRA exspects summaries to be in your own language and not copied from the book. It should also include important ideas with key vocabulary and supporting details.
We practiced in groups and wrote a summary.
Computers with Mrs. Belletti
Math: We did a review of everything talked about this week and then did an assessment (7A on the website).
There is no homework.
Writing: We worked on our debates. Over the weekend, they are supposed to find research on the their topic. They need to find solid evidence that will prove and defend their case. They also need to look for rebuttals they can use to bring down the opposing side. Parents are very welcome to help them find this information. They will get together on Monday to share their evidence.
Geography bee:
Great job to Haley T. and Aurora for getting into the Geography bee!
We are very proud of them for getting as far as they did.
HW:
Research for your debating topic.
Get plenty of rest for the DRAs next week.
