I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.

October 13, 2010

Today we:

Social Studies: Did a quick review of the overall view of the Revolutionary War. We talked about the Declaration of Independence and the events that lead to the making of the Constitution.

The kids had fun in PE.

Math: We review long division, talked about dividing money, and review the rules of divisibility.

We got to share our personal narratives with some of our peers then turned them in.

We also started the book "The Old Willis House" as a read aloud. The students choose to read that and come back to "Wringer" because of the Halloween season.

For fun today, we made witches and scarecrows to put in the hallways so we can come back on Monday with the Halloween spirit.

Homework: (optional) I gave the students a packet with several division problems. I told them if they did both sides of the worksheet and missed only a few then they could earn table points but it is not required.

Also: if anyone can donate pencils, it will be much appreciated. I used up our last box today.

Everyone, have a great Fall Break!
